Tutorial 4 - Portal Frame Section #2

Here's the next section of the Portal Frame which looks at it from the other side to last weeks.

...actually this detail makes little sense...why do you need a gutter when there's no water draining in that direction?

Matt, Your work looks generally O.K. A couple of suggestions: use staight lines as your arrows for your notes, The freehand ones look too messy & confuse the drawing. Steel & concrete components seen in section should be given a heavier outline & even shaded in the case of rolled steel sections (U.B, U.C. etc). Try to make your comments about the photos more specific using your newly learned structures vocabulary (column, rafter, purlin, bracing etc.)
